Jerry Earl Brown was born in East Texas where he spent a rowdy boyhood till, out of high school, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps. This put him in the diverse company of young men from all over the country who were as green and rough-hewn. In the process of trying to remold him into its ethos, the Corps taught him discipline and endurance — primary needs for a writer.
His novels include science fiction and present-day mystery/thrillers that usually contain a cutting-edge science or metaphysical element. Scuba diver, mountain climber, wanderer and indefatigable wool-gatherer, his interests have always been nature, literature, history, metaphysics, science, music, movies, and travel
A lover of the sea and mountains, he lives in the Rockies.
